A coda to the protein shake post:

I had been feeling … less than super today. Everyone around me has been sick and I was getting the scratchy throat feeling myself. I drank lots of water, popped a Tylenol and figured I’d take the night off from running.

I made dinner (leftover Peanut Tofu Satay on Rice Noodles — Yum!) and made that shake and afterwards … I needed to burn some energy.

I went to the gym at 8:45 — something I almost never do — and had one of the best workouts ever. I did a strength sandwich (run-weights-cycle) and did a mile in 9:30 and got my heartrate past 165 on the bike. I feel so strong. :)

So now I’m drinking a well-deserved almond milk hot chocolate. I <3 almond milk. That is all.
